No, not at all! Donato has been put together especially for artists, makers, and creative entrepreneurs - but anyone who is building an authentic, creative brand is welcome. If you value creativity, connection, and simplicity, you’ll feel right at home here.

As our pricing tiers are geared towards creatives just starting out, if you are a more established business owner we have put together an alternative pricing structure which may work better for you.

Connect - lays the foundation to start connecting with potential customers and growing your audience. It includes everything you need for email marketing and growing and nurturing your audience along with a social media scheduler.

Grow - includes everything in Connect, plus a payments system and the full suite of website tools so you can create a full website, blog, and online store as well as increased contacts/email send limits.

Flourish - includes everything in Grow plus unlimited contacts, a higher email send limit, affiliate tools, calendars, courses, memberships + communities.

Essentials - this is similar to Connect but also includes the Calendars and gives the small business owner everything you need to run your online business in one place. Start with the essentials and add to your plan any extra features you need.

Some platforms advertise “unlimited” emails, but the cost of sending is always there, it just gets hidden inside higher subscription fees. That means everyone pays more, whether they use it or not.

Our pricing is kept as low as possible for those starting out. We do this by capping the monthly email limits - so you’re not paying for the capacity to send 20,000 emails a month if you’re only sending 5,000.

This way, you’re only ever paying for what you actually use - and we can keep our base prices lower for everyone.

If you will go over at key times of the year (e.g. during a launch period), you can purchase a one-off add-on bundle (£5 for an extra 5,000 emails).

Every plan includes a fixed monthly email allowance. For example, Connect and Essentials Tier 1 will both cover up to 1,000 subscribers and 5,000 emails per month.

If you occasionally go over, you can simply buy a top-up pack (£5 for an extra 5,000 emails).

If you consistently go over your allowance (e.g. regularly sending more than one full-list email per week on the Tier 1 plan), you’ll need to either:

-> Upgrade to the next subscriber tier (e.g. Essentials 2, with 2,000 subscribers / 12,000 emails), or

-> Add an ongoing email bundle to cover your higher sending volume.

This means you may not stay on your starting tier forever - as your subscriber list grows or your sending increases, your plan will need to grow with you. The good news is, you’ll only ever pay for the capacity you actually use.

If you already have a large list and need higher sending capacity from the start, our Essentials Plan may be a better fit. It has higher email caps and you can still “build your own” by adding the features you need.

No, our monthly subscription covers everything specified in your chosen tier.

There are some optional add-ons, like branded mobile apps or extra features beyond the core platform, which are available for an additional cost - but only if you choose them.

There are no hidden fees for the core tools we offer. You may need to change you Tier if your usage changes (see Q6 for more details).

No! You can start with just what you need now - such as building an email list - and add new features as you grow. Donato is designed to support you at every stage of your creative journey.

You can upgrade to a higher plan or amend your subscription to add new features anytime - whenever you're ready to grow.

You do! Your website, your products, your emails, your email list, your blog posts - it’s all yours.

Donato simply provides the platform to help you share and grow. You can export your contacts and content anytime if you ever choose to move on.

As a founding member, you'll lock in your special low rate - for life*. Even when prices increase for new members, your price stays the same, as a thank-you for joining us early.

If you start on Connect and want to upgrade to Grow or Flourish, the upgrade price will be at the original Founder rate even if the prices have since gone up to new customers. So if you join Connect as a Founder and later choose to upgrade, your price for Grow or Flourish will be held at the Founder rate.

*as long as your subscription is continuous. Should you cancel and re-join, you would re-join at whatever the current rate is.

Yes, of course - you’re never locked into a long-term contract. You can cancel your subscription at any time. (But we think you’ll love how simple and freeing Donato makes your creative business!)

If you cancel your subscription, your account will be paused. We’ll keep your assets (website, emails, shop items, etc.) safely stored for 90 days. You can also request deletion immediately if you prefer.

If you want to return during that time, you can reactivate without losing your work. After 90 days, if your account remains inactive, your assets may be permanently deleted. We’ll always send you reminders before any deletions happen.

You can also choose to keep your account dormant for a small monthly storage fee (£5/month) beyond the 90 days if you need more time to decide.

After you sign up, you'll receive a welcome email. We will set your account up for you within 24 hours and let you know when it is ready.

If you choose to add-on a set-up package, we will need you to fill in a questonnaire so we can gather together some information about your account. Once we have this, we will get to work ad your set-up will be complete between 3-5 working days - we will keep you updated throughout!

We didn't build the platform but have curated it specifically for creative entrepreneurs. We have configured our plans to be flexible, so you can choose only the tools you need and get a powerful system that works for you at an affordable price.

We also offer a growing library of training guides and resources and tutorials. If there is a demand, we will set up support calls where you can come along and ask questions and get live help.

You'll also have the option to add on a set-up package for a one-off fee, or pay for some additional support anytime you want.

Plus - if you sign up as a founder member, you will be able to book a complimentary 30 minute onboarding call with us to get you started.

To take payments, you will need a payment processor (you can create a free account with Stripe or Paypal which are the two most well known). You can add either or both to your account). There will be payment processor fees which are taken automatically, no up front payments (you can check these fees on the Stripe or PayPal websites).

If you have the Calendars option as part of your plan to schedule online meetings you will need video conferencing - you can connect either Google Meet or Zoom - both are free (there is a paid Zoom plan depending on how you want to us it). You will also need to connect a calendar - we recommend Google Calendar.

Yes, so that your pages and email address look professional we recommend it.
